Through our leading online trading platforms in The Netherlands (Marktplaats) and Belgium (2dehands & 2ememain), Adevinta Benelux connects millions of buyers and sellers. On a monthly basis we engage with more than 10 million unique users with a wide range of items.
From furniture and clothing to cars and everyday products, through our platforms, items can find a second, third or even fourth life. That’s how our users contribute to a world in which people share more and waste less, and how every deal made on our platforms makes a big difference.
This year we combined the Adevinta Benelux launch with our belated Christmas party at the Arcade All Stars Party. Our employees entered a world of neon lights and jostling joysticks with the sound of dropping coins and synthesizers filling their ears.
To celebrate reopening our office when Covid restrictions lifted, we welcomed our teams back with with freshly made smoothies and snacks.
At our regular All Hands meetings, our teams gather to learn about our latest projects, exchange ideas, and ask questions.
On International Women’s Day, Benelux CEO Annemarie Buitelaar and Orla Noonan, chair of the Adevinta Board, hosted a panel discussion on female leadership and shared their personal stories.
We challenged our teams to come up with solutions that empower our users and platforms to keep doing good. At out 2021 Hackathon we have an impressive 11 submissions with presentations ranging from working code, well thought-through concepts to mocked-up prototypes.
