We are now looking for a Global Security Manager to set up and oversee the security operations of the global portfolio and support the Global Head of WPE and team.

This role will set up and oversee a global, integrated physical security operation for Adevinta's workplace portfolio. This role will report into the Workplace Strategy & Policy Lead, and will play a critical role in creating and driving the necessary processes, procedures and standards to ensure that Adevintans feel safe and well-protected at work.

 

  • Sharing global security insights to inform the new workplace experience vision and strategy, to ensure the workplace experience includes an environment where Adevintans feel safe and well-protected.
  • Responsible for setting a new global set of physical security processes, procedures, policies and standards (and training where applicable), in partnership with the WPE Strategy & Policy Lead and coordinating with WPE Leads in each market where localisation is required.
  • Responsible for setting out a clear plan and timetable for the creation of key security strategies and policies.
  • Partner with the WPE Strategy & Policy Lead to ensure security data is of a high quality and informs strategic decision-making.
  • Responsible for the day to day management of all global third party security vendors, tracking performance in line with agreed SLAs and global policies and standards.
  • Scale and deliver a 24/7 security incident detection and response system.
  • Act as an escalation point for any matters relating to team performance or third party vendors supporting activities relating to these areas.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or problems within regions in relation to policies and standards.
  • Act as a Security Business Partner to the WPE Leads, providing security advice and support
  • Alert the Global Head of WPE, the Chief People & Communications Officer and any other necessary executives in the event of a security emergency.
  • Partner with Comms in the event of a security/ physical risk emergency to ensure that clear and timely updates are provided to all affected Adevintans.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to anticipate, identify and evaluate opportunities that carry a significant physical/ security risk in the office locations  (incl. data centres where applicable).

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree
  • 10+ years experience leading global physical security teams at Global high tech company
  • Experience using relevant security technologies including Video Surveillance, - Access Control, Incident Management System and others
  • Experience in the areas of emergency/ disaster management, physical security, critical incident management and business resiliency.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
  • Experience in root cause analysis, industry benchmarking, survey evaluation
  • Experience in vendor management and negotiations
  • Strong track record of thinking strategically and executing tactically
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Google workplace
  • Excellent management of Excel worksheets
