What you’ll do

Your remit as the Head of IT Governance will focus on the governance and execution of major IT transformation programmes. It offers you the opportunity to play a mission-critical role in the future growth and success of Adevinta.

You will be based within our BITS (Business Information and Technology Services) team, reporting to the CIO. Your talents will be key to supporting the informed, quick decision making of the CIO and business. We want you to maintain oversight of ongoing initiatives (including transformations), escalations, customer feedback and budgets. You’ll also maximise the value of strategic partnerships by setting joint goals, applying standard performance metrics and tracking benefits. 

Key responsibilities

  • Support global IT integration and transformation programmes.

  • Lead the governance and execution of transformation plans by collaborating with senior leaders and colleagues across multiple regions.

  • Support the design of the BITS Operating Model, and ensure that it remains up to date with all components aligned to BITS strategy.

  • Oversee and approve changes in the BITS Operating Model.

  • Forecast costs, prepare annual budget requests and track budgets.

  • Oversee Vendor Management activities and collaborate with Procurement on strategy and policy.

  • Ensure that all ongoing initiatives are properly followed-up by the Programme Management Officer and the Project Managers, helping in the decision-making process.

  • Define a strategy and capability for IT talent management.

Qualifications

Who you are

  • Experienced in a governance role, including budget planning and management.

  • Background in Finance and Compliance knowledge.

  • Knowledge in Operating Models management (improvement of them, quality assurance).

  • Understanding of total cost ownership of IT assets and functions.

  • Ability to facilitate decision making by translating findings into recommendations, identify risks and schedule adjustments.

  • A business-focused, creative, innovative, pragmatic, and positive team player

  • Good communication skills. Business level English is a must.

  • Results-oriented, with a will to drive things forward, and make sure decisions are made and followed through.

  • Strongly identifying with Adevinta‘s values – with a passion for our brands.
