The mobile.de SRE team is providing infrastructure, tooling and support to enable our application developers within a hybrid cloud environment. We take care of security perimeters, application and job schedulers, different types of storage, public cloud service integrations, observability solutions, resource management and more. We fight toil, believe in everything as code and enjoy enabling our colleagues to work smarter and faster. We are heavily involved in mobile.de’s journey to the Public Cloud and we watch over our platform 24/7 to detect and tackle incidents in time.

We own operations and constantly improve our platform by driving automation, simplicity, reliability and observability

We aim to understand the platforms history to shape the future by establishing playbooks and tools for maintenances and migrations
This role is all about platform engineering and operations and we want you for this!
You have a proven track record in Internet platform operations
You are proficient in cloud concepts and container scheduling
You are looking forward to working with K8s, Docker and Cloud Native Services
You write your configuration code in Terraform and Saltstack
You are not afraid of the occasional deep-dive into Bash, Python, Java, etc.
You are not afraid of replicated datastores like MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, etc.
Consulting and helping others with your expertise makes your day
Your skill set includes good operational knowledge (TCP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, etc.)
You are able to fluently communicate in English
